If you would like to be trained to use the Morrisby Report with your clients please contact us and ask for more information.

The Process tells you more about what is involved from the clients perspective and Licencing tells you what is involved in becoming qualified to use the system.

why consider Morrisby?

Most/All of you will already have instruments with which you are expert, may be scored immediately or are on-line, are quicker to administer and which are less costly than the Morrisby Report. These instruments, or very similar, are all available in Melbourne yet the use of the Morrisby Report has grown exponentially over the last 6 years. Why?

The reasons centre around these three factors:

  • Research findings/trials.
There have been a number of independent surveys carried out in the UK that have unanimously endorsed the use of the Morrisby Report for student and adult populations. Many of these studies have involved hundreds of clients and numerous careers advisers. See the page on Validation Data. In Victoria the experience has been that career practitioners are either recommended the Morrisby Report by colleagues or trial it alongside alternatives when reviewing their offering to students.
  • The quality of the report (content and presentation).
Choosing a career is a big responsibility and well presented, accurate data to inform the decision is always welcomed, particularly by the parent group. In user surveys it is common to  comment upon the thoroughness and objectivity of the report.
  • Efficiency.
The Morrisby Report is close to being an 'expert system'. It offers a comprehensive and efficient process which reduces the time needed with many students for 1:1 counselling, allowing the Career Practitioner to focus their energies where they count most. You are not required to spend time writing up or integrating the results from different measures.

A final point is that the Morrisby Report is more than a paper based report. It is supported by significant on-line content. The report is available on-line and in PDF format, the career suggestioins are linked to the relevant pages in the Job Guide, myfuture and other websites, and 'find similar' functionality means that students can use the on-line site for career exploration.
