David McKenzie - Career Analysts (Hobart)

David is a qualified Careers Practitioner, with extensive experience of coaching and counselling clients of all ages in commercial, health and education settings.

Following a period early in his career working in technical roles for oil and gas multi-nationals, David has worked in the field of Career Development for more than twenty years.

David’s work has included experience with individuals and groups in:

  • Career counselling, management and transition
  • Use of psychometric instruments in a variety of applications
  • Selection and outplacement
  • Training, assessment and teaching
  • Rehabilitation

As the Hobart ‘face’ of Career Analysts, David provides group assessment and one to one counselling services using the Morrisby Report. He has applied the Morrisby Report extensively with clients of all ages and from all backgrounds. His work is informed by a belief in the value of combining objective assessment with coaching and counselling techniques to help clients select and develop their chosen path based on personal potential and informed choice, rather than trusting to instinct and luck.

Testing for the Morrisby Report is usually a group based event with a number of people coming together for 3 hours 20 minutes to sit the tests at one time.

The venue may be a school or elsewhere and the objective is to sit a battery of tests that identify your strengths and interests.

David is qualified to use a wide range of measures and psychometric tests and has done so in diverse settings for many years. David has a real sense of how people can market and manage their talents within the world of work and careers.

David’s current portfolio comprises his role as Career Analysts (Hobart), as well as private careers consultancy.

Professional membership includes the Career Development Association of Australia, Institute of Careers Guidance (UK), British Psychological Society Special Group in Coaching Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation Association.
