recommended process

An interest questionnaire (Morrisby Careers Questionnaire) is sent to candidates a week or so before the testing session. They should complete this (takes under 30 minutes) and also attempt some practice questions either via the link above or using a paper version.

The candidate brings the completed questionnaire to the testing session.

The test session takes 3hrs 10 minutes including a short break. Twelve paper and pencil tests are completed. The process is designed for group administration. See Morrisby Profile for more information.

Completed test papers are forwarded to Career Analysts in Melbourne for scoring and reporting. Reports are returned to you for feedback. Turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks.

The Morrisby Report for students is 20 pages in length, plus a separate Advisers summary. The adult guidance report is longer and is accompanied by a workbook and values self-assessment.

Feedback of the report is typically 1:1 but within schools a group feedback session to explain the general report structure followed by shorter, optional, individual interviews is a common approach. A Powerpoint presentation for parents evenings is available.

For schools close to Melbourne 1:1 feedback can be arranged from a network of qualified career councellors
